CRICKETING COLLECTION

A collection of autographed memorabilia that is sure to be of interest to cricket fans worldwide will be auctioned by Lockdales next month on behalf of the Lord’s Taverners charity. The Lord's Taverners is the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, which provides opportunities for young disabled people and those from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in sport. The Lord’s Taverners was founded in 1950 and during its history has had the support of many stars from the world of sport and entertainment.



Amongst the items to be auctioned is a collection of approximately eighteen signed photographs of famous cricketers including Sir Richard Hadlee, Courtney Walsh, Michael Atherton, Ashley Giles, Imran Khan, Stuart Law and Gary Sobers together with a signed card by Don Bradman. A number of autograph sheets from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s that have been signed by cricketers from teams including Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka will also be auctioned.
