LIVE ONLINE BIDDING
Lockdales uses two online bidding platforms, The Saleroom.com
and Easy Live Auction both leading online portals hosting live internet bidding via an online catalogue.
USING THE LIVE ONLINE PORTALS
The auction moves at a lively pace.
Be sure you are confident using the online systems before the sale begins!
live ONLINE bidding
To bid live online you must register with either of the above for an account. Registration will be confirmed via email once the 'pending approval' stage has been accepted which will be provided as soon as possible.
Once you have an account, you will still need to register to bid live in a sale.
PLEASE BE AWARE:
Third-party charges apply for the bidding platform services.
Please see below & read their company terms & conditions when registering
All bids made via The Saleroom.com are subject to a surcharge of 4.95%+VAT and all bids made via Easy Live Auction are subject to either a surcharge of 3%+VAT or a one-off fixed pre-payment of £3.00 per auction. This also applies to autobids placed via their website.
You can avoid paying these charges by choosing to leave absentee bids on the Lockdales website absolutely free of charge.
avoid the charges
The free of charge, quick and easy way to leave a commission (absentee) bid, is to register with Lockdales' online catalogue system. This way you can access your bids, view and change, edit or delete them as many times as you wish. Each time you do so you will receive a confirmation email with any updated info. Alternatively you can still leave bids via phone, postal form, or email (Bidder terms & conditions)
We will send you an invoice by email, with a postal quote included, after the auction. Please allow up to two days after an auction for all invoices to be sent out.
OTHER WAYS TO BID
If you are not sure about the process, and you want to be absolutely certain of securing certain lots then perhaps an absentee bid, or a telephone line may be more appropriate.
Live audio via the third-party platforms is available during all of our auctions in Suffolk, allowing you to listen to the auctioneer in session.
